Hi, I’m Millie.

millieonherworld millie

I’m a 24 year old who is obsessed with creative outlets, mainly crochet, poetry, and photography. MillieonHerWorld shares my experiences with these usually impulsive crafting sprees as well as my personal life of being a recently independent, shy, and slightly awkward young woman. Sometimes my maturity is strong, I can have good logical thinking, at the same time I can openly admit I can spend a whole day watching cartoons, eating neon colored cupcakes, and wanting to buy a new Hello Kitty stuff animal.  I love a little bit of everything! My blog has been around for two years and I hope to continue sharing what’s going on in my world including the good times, bad times, and everything inbetween.

I run my online Etsy shop if you are interested in seeing more of my work or requesting something: http://www.etsy.com/shop/MillieCrochetHouse

If you’d like to see some of my crochet work, drawings, and photography,  here are a few links of mine to check out:

  1. Hi Millie,

We are CandleOwlKnits, a college student and her English grandmother who have formed a small knitting business. My grandmother (or Nanny, as I like to call her) taught me to knit herself after she noticed that my local after-school care program had taught me wrong! I now knit properly, and she has been lovingly criticizing my work every since.

In the past, our shop on Etsy has satisfied the knitting needs of buyers from America, France, and Australia, but we’re looking to become better known. We recognize you as a fellow artist inspired by her surroundings, and we would be eternally grateful if you would check out our blog, offer some constructive criticism, and maybe even steer us in the direction of some contacts in the enormous jungle of bloggers!

    Thank you so much,

    Hannah (from CandleOwl Knits)

    • Hello Hannah,

Thanks for sharing your story with me, and the nice compliment about being an artist (put a nice smile on my face haha). I would be glad to help you any way I can. I’ve only been blogging a short while, plus I just now starting an Etsy shop so I’m slowly learning about how to thrive in those worlds.

A quick tip I can offer right now is to spend time around the blogging and Etsy community. Follow a lot of other blogs that really inspire you and share your passion. On Etsy join a few teams with similar items, this will also help you subtly promote your items (by the way I love your work, knitting seems out of my reach!).

If you have any questions feel free to ask, I’ll be stopping by your blog soon. 🙂

  2. Hi Millie! Thx for the follow! ^^ I just started in the crocheting world (which is an amazing one! & so very addictive :D) I’ll be sure to follow your adventures and works through your blog! You make really cute things ^^

  3. I found you by following a link from RainbowJunkie. I see you like Crochet, Poetry and Photography – me too! I am part of a small group doing a lovely weekly photo challenge and a couple of us combine this with Haiku poem challenge. I just wondered if you would be interested – they have both created really friendly, supportive, creative communities. Here is the link to my latest entry which includes links to the challenges: https://daffodilwild.wordpress.com/2015/06/16/bloom/
